JOB OVERVIEW

Experienced Steel Detailer (Advance Steel Expert) – Remote / Home-Based Location: Remote (Philippines) Reporting to: New Zealand Head Office Schedule.

About the Role
We are a [New Zealand-based Structural Engineering/Steel Fabrication Company] looking for an experienced and meticulous Steel Detailer based in the Philippines to join our team remotely.

We specialize in [mention specific project types, e.g., commercial warehouses, residential structural beams, industrial platforms]. We need a specialist who lives and breathes Autodesk Advance Steel to turn our engineering designs into fabrication-ready shop drawings.

What You Will Do
Create accurate, high-quality 3D models using Autodesk Advance Steel.

Produce comprehensive Shop Drawings (Assembly and Single Part) and Erection Drawings for site installation.

Generate accurate Bill of Materials (BOM), NC files, and DXF files for CNC processing.

Ensure all detailing complies with New Zealand Standards (AS/NZS).

Identify potential clashes or design issues early and raise RFIs (Request for Information) with the NZ engineering team.

Update models based on site measurements or design revisions.

What We Are Looking For
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience as a Steel Detailer specifically within the structural steel industry.

Software Mastery: Expert proficiency in Autodesk Advance Steel is mandatory. (AutoCAD and Navisworks experience is a plus).

Technical Knowledge:

Strong understanding of steel connection details.

Familiarity with AS/NZS standards (specifically AS/NZS 1554 for welding and AS/NZS 5131 for fabrication) is highly preferred, though we are willing to train the right expert.

Experience with seismic detailing is a distinct advantage.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal English skills are required for daily coordination via Teams/Zoom/Google Meet, Whatsapp.

Hardware: Must have a high-performance workstation capable of running Advance Steel smoothly and a reliable high-speed internet connection.
