ABOUT TAP OUT
We are an innovative tech startup based in the Netherlands on a clear mission: helping as many people as possible become more focused, by blocking distracting apps and websites (such as TikTok) with an app. We have made a unique physical product that helps iPhone & Android users do that, and want to quickly scale up our online presence and grow our sales through performance advertising. We are looking for a strong creative force to make and recreate great inspiring videos for our accounts - both ads and organic.

ROLE SUMMARY (YOU OWN THE OUTPUT)
This is an operator role. You will own creative production throughput end-to-end. In this role, you’ll be responsible for creating high quality, engaging and viral content, both organic and ads. Your job will include analyzing competitors, ideating content formats, and editing videos & statics (based on winning formats) - with input from the founders. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping Tap Out'ss growth, voice and online identity.
AOR (Area of Responsibility):
12-20 diverse deliverables/week shipped, named, organized, and logged.
We care more about content breadth and quality than “50 minor variants.” Deliverables include a mix of:
- Short-form videos (9:16) for Meta (UGC-style, founder-led & building in public, product demos)
- Longer-form videos (30–60s)
- Statics
- Subtitles/captions + light motion graphics when needed
- Different angles (pain, ritual/demo, mechanism, founder story, proof, objection handling)
Note: some videos will be in Dutch, for which we'll provide support
We want someone who can work independently and also tell us what raw footage you need from us to win.
COMPENSATION
Starting: $650–$950/month (full-time), depending on skill and speed.
If you consistently hit the AOR in the first 30 days, we raise to $950–$1,250/month.
(We prefer long-term collaboration and performance-based growth.)
SCHEDULE
- Full-time, remote
- Prefer at least 2 hours overlap with Amsterdam time (CET), but async is fine if output is consistent.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Create high variety of video & static concepts for ads and organic posts
- Edit performance-driven ads for Meta (direct response style, not “pretty montage”)
- Create variations: multiple hooks, pacing, on-screen text, CTAs, lengths, crops
- Add subtitles/captions, sound design, basic motion graphics where useful
- Create statics using frames & text based on winning ad concepts (Canva/Figma/Photoshop-level)
- Maintain our creative system:
- folder structure + naming conventions
- version control
- logging deliverables in a simple tracker (Notion/Sheet)
WHAT “GOOD” LOOKS LIKE
- You come up with great winning performance ad concepts with high creative diversity
- You ship every week without reminders
- Your edits have solid hooks/pacing/proof/CTA and optimize for performance
- You keep assets cleanly organized and easy to find
- You're resourceful and give proactive direction: where you will get footage, what footage you need, what to test next (with founder input)
REQUIREMENTS (MUST-HAVE)
- Proven experience editing direct-response/performance creative (Meta/TikTok style)
- Strong hook + pacing instincts (the first 2 seconds matter)
- Reliable, organized, deadline-driven
- Good written English and clear async communication
STRONG PROS
- Solid graphic design ability for statics (Figma/Photoshop/Canva)
- Experience working with ecom brands or creators
- Light motion graphics (After Effects)
TOOLS
We collaborate via Notion, Google Drive, and Slack.
Tell us what you prefer for editing: CapCut (we have a license)/ Premiere / After Effects / DaVinci. For statics: Canva/Figma/PS for statics.
