We’re a U.S.-based consulting and technology company with an international team. We build and manage websites, apps, digital products, and brands for clients across many industries.
We’re looking for a Creative Manager / Web Designer who can lead the creative direction of digital projects while also being hands-on with execution.
This is not a junior role and not a social media position.
We’re looking for someone with a strong design eye who can take a project from an idea or brief to a polished, professional digital experience. You should be comfortable creating mockups, developing visual direction, working with developers, and being hands-on with WordPress when needed.
You don’t need to be a full-time developer. Strong design and creative thinking come first.
What You’ll Do
Lead the visual and creative direction of website and software projects
Translate briefs and ideas into clear visual concepts, layouts, and mockups
Create website designs that are clean, modern, professional, and user-focused
Develop page layouts and design systems rather than relying solely on pre-built templates
Design website interfaces and user experiences with attention to usability and conversion
Customize themes, layouts, and page-builder components when needed
Work closely with developers and internal teams to bring designs to life
Review completed work and ensure the final product matches the intended design
Identify design, layout, UX, and usability issues and propose solutions
Manage multiple creative projects and keep work moving toward deadlines
Communicate directly with internal teams and, when needed, clients
Required Skills
Strong background in web and digital design
Excellent eye for layout, typography, spacing, hierarchy, color, and visual consistency
Experience designing websites from scratch or through custom mockups
Strong WordPress experience, including themes, page builders, plugins, and customization
Good understanding of UX/UI principles and responsive design
Ability to turn a brief or rough idea into a clear visual direction
Ability to manage multiple projects independently
Strong written English and communication skills
A portfolio that demonstrates actual website and digital product design work
Nice to Have
Figma or similar design/prototyping tools
JavaScript knowledge
Experience working with developers
Experience managing designers or creative teams
SEO and website performance knowledge
Experience designing web applications or software interfaces
Branding and visual identity experience
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who can look at a blank page and know how to turn it into something good.
You should be able to:
Take a vague idea and develop a creative direction
Create mockups before jumping into a template
Explain why a design works, not just make something look nice
Recognize when a website feels dated, cluttered, inconsistent, or poorly structured
Balance aesthetics with usability and business objectives
Work independently and make thoughtful creative decisions
Collaborate with developers without needing to be a developer yourself
Take ownership of a project from concept through completion
This Role Is NOT For You If
Your experience is primarily social media graphics or Canva
You primarily work from pre-built templates without developing your own design direction
You consider yourself a developer first and have limited experience with visual design
You need detailed instructions for every step of a project
You’re looking for a short-term freelance gig
You’re not comfortable taking ownership of creative decisions

Technical skills are valuable, but your ability to think creatively, solve design problems, and produce strong digital experiences is what matters most.
