We are looking for a detail-oriented QuickBooks Management & Payroll Assistant to support our day-to-day accounting operations. This role focuses on employee setup, time tracking, and payroll-related calculations using QuickBooks.
You will work closely with our internal team to ensure employee hours are correctly recorded, categorized (regular vs. overtime), and prepared for payroll processing. This role does not require advanced accounting — accuracy and consistency are key.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage employee profiles in QuickBooks
2. Enter and update employee work hours
3. Track and calculate regular and overtime hours
4. Review timesheets for accuracy and consistency
5. Assist with payroll preparation and reporting
6. Maintain organized payroll and employee records
7. Communicate clearly regarding any discrepancies or missing information
Requirements:
Experience using QuickBooks (especially payroll and time tracking)
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
Ability to follow clear procedures and instructions
Basic understanding of payroll concepts (regular vs. overtime)
Reliable communication and confidentiality with sensitive data
Nice to Have:
1. Experience with QuickBooks Online Payroll
2. Familiarity with U.S. payroll basics
3. Experience working with hourly employees
4. This is an ongoing part-time or freelance role with flexible hours. Long-term collaboration is preferred.
