Role Overview
We’re looking for a Video Content Strategist to help shape, plan, and optimize video-first storytelling across multiple CPG brands. This role sits at the intersection of brand strategy, social behavior, and performance-driven content, translating big brand ideas into scalable, platform-native video systems.
You’ll be responsible for developing video ad ideas, ensuring every piece of content has a clear purpose, audience, and measurable impact.
This is not a “just make it go viral” role. It’s about building intentional video ecosystems that ladder up to brands broader brand and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Video Strategy & Planning
Develop end-to-end video content strategies aligned to ad and brand goals
Define video content frameworks across platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Meta, Amazon, website etc.)
Translate brand briefs into clear video content roadmaps, formats, and series ideas
Identify audience behaviors, content consumption patterns, and cultural insights relevant to each brand
Recommend platform-specific creative approaches (hooks, pacing, storytelling structures, CTAs)
Stay current on platform trends, creator formats, and emerging video behaviors—without chasing trends blindly
Creative Direction & Collaboration
Partner closely with creative directors, producers, editors, and motion teams to guide execution
Write or oversee video briefs, scripts, outlines, and creative rationales
Ensure content feels native, authentic, and on-brand while still pushing creative boundaries
Performance & Optimization
Define success metrics for video content across awareness, engagement, and conversion
Analyze performance data to inform iteration, testing, and optimization
Make recommendations on content volume, formats, and distribution based on results
Align video storytelling to key retail
