JOB OVERVIEW

Contract / Full-Time — Remote or Hybrid

We’re looking for an experienced React Native Developer to lead the migration of our existing mobile application from Ionic to React Native, ensuring improved performance, stability, and scalability. The ideal candidate has strong mobile development experience, deep knowledge of React Native best practices, and hands-on experience working with Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Functions, Storage, and Cloud Messaging).

Responsibilities

Migrate our current Ionic mobile app to a fully native-feeling React Native application.

Rebuild UI components, navigation flows, and core features using React Native.

Integrate and optimize Firebase services, including Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, and Storage.

Work closely with product and backend teams to ensure feature parity and smooth migration.

Improve app performance, reliability, and user experience across iOS and Android.

Troubleshoot issues, write clean maintainable code, and follow modern mobile development best practices.

Implement CI/CD pipelines for mobile builds (Fastlane, App Center, or similar—nice to have).

Requirements

3+ years of professional experience in React Native development.

Strong understanding of React, TypeScript, and mobile app architecture.

Proven experience migrating or rebuilding apps from another framework (Ionic, Flutter, etc.) to React Native.

Hands-on experience with Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Functions, Storage, FCM).

Strong debugging skills and experience optimizing app performance.

Familiarity with publishing apps to the App Store and Google Play.

Experience with REST APIs and real-time data handling.

Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with a cross-functional team.

Nice to Have

Experience with native modules (iOS/Android).

Experience with Fastlane, App Center, or similar CI/CD tools.

UX/UI sensibility for building polished mobile experiences.
