MuleSoft Developer
Location: Remote
Type: Full-Time Contractor

Primary Objective:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MuleSoft Engineer to join our dynamic Business Systems Team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who excels in a fast-paced environment and can take ownership of complex integration development from design to deployment. This role is crucial to our immediate project pipeline, and we require an engineer capable of delivering production-ready integration flows (APIs/integrations) within the first three months.

Responsibilities include:
High-Velocity Development: Independently design, develop, test, and deploy complex MuleSoft integration flows using the Anypoint Platform within the first 90 days.

API-Led Connectivity: Implement and enforce API-Led Connectivity principles, creating reusable System, Process, and Experience APIs.

Technical Design: Translate business requirements into robust, scalable, and secure technical designs, adhering to best practices for performance and error handling.

Code Quality & Standards: Ensure all developed code meets internal standards for maintainability, security, and performance. Participate in and lead code reviews.

Troubleshooting: Provide expert-level support for troubleshooting and resolving integration issues in development, QA, and production environments.

Collaboration: Work closely with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure seamless project delivery.

Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all developed integrations and APIs.

Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and implementing solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform with a track record of success.

Certifications (Highly Preferred): Active MuleSoft Certified Developer - Level 1 (MCD-Level 1) or higher certification.

Expertise in Anypoint Platform: Deep knowledge of Anypoint Studio, Runtime Manager, API Manager, Design Center, and Exchange.

ERP Development: Knowledge connecting ERP Systems such as Netsuite, Salesforce, Zendesk and others.

API Development: Proven experience developing RESTful and SOAP APIs using the Anypoint Platform. Strong understanding of RAML/OAS (Swagger) specifications.

Data Transformation: Expert proficiency in DataWeave 2.0 for complex data transformations.

Connectors: Extensive experience with various MuleSoft connectors (e.g., Database, Salesforce, Netsuite, HTTP, JMS, etc.).

Testing: Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., MUnit) and ensuring high code coverage.

Security: Solid understanding of API security protocols (OAuth 2.0, JWT, Basic Auth) and implementation within MuleSoft.

Delivery Mindset: Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and deliver high-quality, complex work products against aggressive deadlines.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Qualifications
CI/CD & Version Control: Experience with GitHub (or similar tools like Bitbucket/GitLab) for collaborative code management, branching strategies, and pushing code amongst the team. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps) for automated MuleSoft deployments is a bonus.

Project Management Tools: Solid working knowledge of Jira or similar project/issue tracking tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Trello) for managing sprints, tasks, and issue resolution.

ERP/CRM Knowledge: Prior knowledge or hands-on experience with administration and data models of NetSuite and Salesforce.

Integration Platforms: Prior knowledge or experience with Celigo based integration systems.

Scripting & Coding: Ability to code in C-Sharp (C#) for supporting custom integrations or services.

NetSuite Scripting: Familiarity with SuiteScript (specifically SuiteScript 2.x) for customization and integration development within NetSuite.

Success Metrics:
Successfully develop, test, and deploy required MuleSoft integration flows/APIs (including Opportunities, Accounts, Contacts, and Items) to the Production environment within the first 90 days.

Every new integration built must include automated checks that prove the code works correctly and that all error handling is functioning as designed.

The engineer must design connections that can be used again by other parts of the business. The goal is to create at least one core building block that can be easily plugged into multiple future projects.

The engineer must create and finalize clear technical and operational guides for every integration before it is deployed to the live system, ensuring the support team can easily manage it.
