JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role

We are looking for a Data Analyst / Dashboarding Specialist who can build and maintain daily dashboards for our business. This role is hands-on and execution-focused: you will turn raw data into clear, decision-ready reporting for management.

This will start as full-time with consistent daily deliverables.

Key Responsibilities (Daily / Weekly)

Daily Dashboarding (Core)
• Build and maintain daily KPI dashboards for leadership
• Refresh/update dashboards each day (scheduled refresh where possible)
• Ensure dashboards are accurate, consistent, and easy to interpret
• Monitor data quality and flag anomalies (missing data, outliers, mismatched totals)

Reporting & Insights
• Create daily/weekly summaries: “What changed vs yesterday/last week and why?”
• Track performance trends and identify drivers (sales mix, labour %, COGS, channel performance, etc.)
• Deliver ad-hoc analysis when leadership asks questions

Data Management
• Connect and model data from sources such as:
• Google Sheets / Excel / CSV exports
• POS exports (Lightspeed/Square or similar)
• Delivery platforms / marketing data (if provided)
• Create clean data models (tables, relationships, measures/KPIs)
• Document metric definitions and dashboard logic so reporting is consistent

Tools & Skills Required

You must be strong in at least one of the following:
• Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling, scheduled refresh, RLS optional)
• Google Looker Studio (formerly Data Studio) + Google Sheets/BigQuery connectors

Must-have capabilities
• Building dashboards with drill-downs, filters, date controls
• KPI design: clarity, hierarchy, usability for non-technical managers
• Data cleaning and transformation (Power Query or equivalent)
• Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills
• Good communication: explain insights simply

Nice to have
• SQL (BigQuery/MySQL/Postgres)
• Experience with hospitality / multi-site operations reporting
• Automation mindset (reduce manual reporting where possible)

• Short written explanation: data model, KPIs, assumptions, and how to use the dashboard
