We are a civil construction company based in Queensland, Australia, specialising in pipeline works including stormwater, drainage structures, water mains, sewer and general civil construction. We are looking for a technically minded remote assistant to support quantity take-offs, estimating, project administration and compliance.
Key responsibilities
Perform quantity take-offs from civil and pipeline drawings (stormwater, sewer, water main, drainage structures and general civil works).
Assist with preparation of estimates, BOQs and breakdowns for civil and pipeline projects.
Help prepare and maintain project documentation such as compliance records, safety registers and quality forms.
Support project managers with tracking costs, progress, variations and simple reports in Excel.
General project administration, document control and data entry as required.
Skills and qualifications
Civil engineer (licensed or graduate) preferred, or strong background in civil engineering, quantity surveying or construction management.
Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn new software.
Familiarity with AutoCAD (or similar) for reading and checking drawings.
Excellent Excel skills, including formulas, data organisation and basic reporting.
Comfortable working with civil and pipeline drawings, details and schedules.
Very good written and spoken English, with clear communication and attention to detail.
Access to own computer, Bluebeam, MS Office and a reliable internet connection.
Nice to have
Previous experience in pipeline or civil infrastructure projects (stormwater, sewer, water, roads, subdivisions).
Prior remote work experience with Australian, NZ or other international contractors or consultants.
Hours, pay and progression
Part-time: 20–30 hours per week to start, with potential to move to full-time as workload grows.
Work hours somewhat aligned with Queensland time, with some flexibility by agreement.
Competitive hourly rate in PHP, based on experience and qualifications (for example, in the range you are seeking; can be discussed during interview).
Long-term role with performance reviews and opportunity to grow into a more senior project engineer / estimator support position.
