Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Lighting Estimator to join our remote team and support U.S.-based commercial lighting projects. The ideal candidate has experience in lighting or electrical estimating, a strong grasp of lighting systems and layouts, and the ability to produce precise takeoffs and material estimates. This role involves close coordination with U.S. teams to ensure accurate and cost-effective lighting solutions are delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities:
Review architectural plans, specifications, and drawings for commercial lighting projects.
Prepare accurate takeoffs, estimates, and bills of materials.
Collaborate with internal U.S.-based teams to clarify requirements and deliverables.
Recommend value engineering options and cost-effective lighting solutions where applicable.
Ensure documentation and estimates meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial lighting or electrical estimating.
Solid understanding of lighting fixtures, controls, and layout requirements.
Proficient in takeoff and estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam) and Excel/Google Sheets.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
Familiarity with major lighting manufacturers and common U.S. lighting standards.
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
Experience working on U.S. commercial construction projects is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable internet connection and personal computer with sufficient specifications.
Note: An NBI or police clearance will be required upon acceptance of the job offer.
