Salary - $1,000 per month
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Income Certification Coordinator to manage the annual income certification process for our tenants as we transition our Los Angeles–based multifamily portfolio into affordable housing. This full-time, remote role involves tenant outreach, collecting income verification documents (such as pay stubs and employment letters), and maintaining accurate, confidential household records. The initial focus will be completing certifications for all current tenants within a 3- to 6-month period, followed by annual recertifications to ensure ongoing compliance with local and state regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage the annual tenant income certification process across all multifamily properties.
Communicate directly with tenants to explain requirements, distribute and collect income certification forms, and assist with questions.
Collect, review, and verify documentation such as pay stubs, tax returns, and other proof of income.
Maintain organized digital records of all certifications and supporting materials.
Ensure all documents are completed accurately and submitted on time.
Collaborate with property management and compliance teams to ensure adherence to affordable housing regulations.
Track progress and follow up with tenants who have not yet submitted required documentation.
Provide periodic status reports to management and ensure deadlines are met.
Qualifications:
Highly organized and self-motivated with strong time management skills.
Proven experience in project coordination or management, with the ability to oversee multiple properties and timelines.
Prior experience in compliance, affordable housing, or property management is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with California affordable housing regulations and income verification processes is a plus.
Excellent communication and follow-up skills; comfortable working with tenants from diverse backgrounds.
Proficient in Excel, Google Drive, and digital file organization systems.
Reliable internet connection and a dedicated home workspace suitable for remote work..
Note: An NBI or police clearance will be required upon acceptance of the job offer.
