I need some CAD designs done and 3D models of the engagement rings.
JPJ – CAD & 3D MODELLING INSTRUCTIONS
1. GENERAL CAD REQUIREMENTS
• Formats: 3DM (Rhino) or MGX (MatrixGold); STL for final meshes.
• Units: Millimetres, scale 1:1.
• Tolerance: 0.01 mm.
• Orientation: Shank on XY plane, stone axis vertical.
2. MASTER CAD STRUCTURE
Create one master CAD per design × shape.
Groups required:
• Shank – resizeable only at inner diameter.
• Head/setting – fixed geometry.
• Gallery – separate and fixed.
• Prongs – grouped.
• Stone seat – per carat size.
• Halo/pavé – separate groups.
3. RING SIZING RULES
• Master size: Australian N (17.3 mm ID).
• Resize ONLY inner diameter.
• Minimum thickness: solitaires 1.6–1.8 mm; pavé 1.8–2.0 mm; hidden halo 1.8 mm; trilogy 1.9–2.1
mm; Whisper Band 1.4 mm reinforced.
• Shrinkage compensation: Gold +1.40%, Platinum +1.10%.
4. STONE VARIANTS
• Sizes required: 1.00ct, 1.25ct, 1.50ct, 2.00ct.
ROUND: Table 56–57%, Depth 61–62%, CA 34.5°, PA 40.8°.
OVAL: Ratio 1.35–1.40, minimal bow-tie.
PEAR: Ratio 1.45–1.55, talon tip.
STEP-CUT: Ratio 1.40–1.50, bevel corners, step-cut facets.
5. DESIGN INSTRUCTIONS
1. Round Solitaire
• 6 prongs, 1.7 mm band, 6.2–6.6 mm height.
2. Oval Solitaire
• 4 talon prongs, knife-edge 1.6?1.4 mm.
3. Hidden Halo
• Round & Oval, halo 1.0 mm stones, 0.4–0.6 mm below girdle, band 1.8 mm.
4. Full Halo
• Round centre, 1.1 mm halo stones, pavé band 1.8 mm.
5. Pear Halo
• Pear centre, contour halo, talon tip, band 1.7–1.8 mm.
6. Step-Cut Solitaire
• Step-cut centre, double-claw corners, band 1.8 mm.
7. Trinity Oval
• Oval centre + pear sides, band 1.9 mm.
8. Step-Cut Trilogy
• Step-cut centre + trapezoids (ratio 1.35–1.45), band 1.9 mm.
9. East-West Step-Cut
• Horizontal step-cut, band 1.8 mm, height 5–5.8 mm.
10. Whisper Band
• Round/Oval/Pear, 1.4 mm reinforced band, 4 prongs.
6. RENDER REQUIREMENTS
• Views: front, 45°, side, top, underside, hero.
• Resolution 3000×3000 px.
• Metals: 14YG, 18YG, 14WG, 18WG, 14RG, PT.
• Signature vs Mastercut stone shaders.
7. FILE NAMING FORMAT (JPJ PREFIX)
