JOB OVERVIEW

DIGITAL CREATOR (Post?Production)

Focus: Film, Documentary & Social Media • Type: [Full?time] • Location: [Remote] • Start: [ASAP]

We’re looking for a hands?on Digital Creator who can take pictures and sound from “rough” to “ready to publish.”
You’ll edit, mix, color grade, master, and deliver final assets that hit Amazon/Netflix/Hollywood?level standards for films, documentaries, series, and social campaigns. All production and AI software (including DaVinci Resolve Studio—aka “DaVinci Pro”) will be provided.

What you’ll do

End?to?end post: Offline/online editing, sound design & engineering (dialogue edit, noise cleanup, SFX/Foley, music), color correction/grading, finishing, and mastering.

Deliverables: Create final masters + platform?specific versions (trailers, teasers, social cutdowns, captions/subtitles, thumbnails, metadata).

Color pipeline: Build ACES/Color?managed workflows, match cameras, balance exposure/white point, apply creative looks, and perform precise shot?to?shot trims.

Audio pipeline: Dialogue cleanup, EQ/comp, noise/hum reduction, mix to spec (stereo/5.1), and export stems (DX/MX/FX) meeting broadcast/streaming loudness.

AI?assisted creation: Use (or quickly learn) modern AI video & audio tools for ideation, rough cuts, upscaling, rotoscoping, captioning, and sound/music enhancement.

Quality control: Technical and creative QC, color and audio continuity, legal?safe levels, clean titles/graphics, and error?free exports.

Versioning & speed: Turn around social variants (9:16, 1:1, 16:9), multiple language captions, and platform?specific bitrates/codecs quickly and reliably.

Must?have skills

DaVinci Resolve Studio (“DaVinci Pro”) power user—Edit, Color, Fusion, and Fairlight (round?trips, project organization, media management, Deliver page).

Proven finishing experience in film and/or documentary plus social content—you’ve delivered masters that passed platform or broadcast QC.

Sound engineering proficiency: Dialogue repair, noise reduction, room tone, SFX layering, music editing, and final mix within loudness specs.

Color grading proficiency: Balancing, secondaries, qualifiers, power windows, tracking, noise reduction, matching multi?cam/multi?source footage.

AI & new tools aptitude: Efficient with—or fast to learn—Veo?3, Sora 2, Moonvalley, Sonovid, Vidwud, ChatGPT, and similar next?gen editors/assistants.

Speed + accuracy: You move fast without sacrificing polish, communicate clearly, and take creative direction well.

Nice to have

HDR (HDR10/Dolby Vision) workflows; camera raw (ARRI/RED/Blackmagic); on?set to post color continuity.

Motion graphics & titles (Fusion/After Effects) and light VFX cleanup (roto, sky replacement, paint-outs).

Experience delivering to major platforms (e.g., Amazon Prime Video) and festival/broadcast specs.

Experience with audio tools (e.g., iZotope?style repair, spectral editors) and music licensing workflows.

Our stack (provided)

DaVinci Resolve Studio (Edit/Color/Fairlight/Fusion) + relevant plugins.

Current AI video & audio tools, including the ones listed above (and comparable alternatives).

Cloud storage, review/approval platform, and template libraries (titles, LUTs, lower thirds, caption styles).

What “ready to publish” means here

Picture: 4K 10?bit masters (ProRes/DNxHR/High?bitrate H.264/HEVC), correct color space & gamma, clean graphics, no artifacting.

Sound: Clean dialogue, tasteful dynamics, proper music/SFX balance, platform?compliant loudness (e.g., ATSC/EBU) and deliverable stems.

Social: Proper aspect ratios, burned?in or sidecar captions, optimized bitrates, branded open/close, and punchy 1–30s hooks.

How we’ll evaluate you

Portfolio review — send 3–5 links (film/doc, commercial, and at least one social piece).

Short paid test — color?balance & mix a 60–90s scene we provide; deliver project + final master.

Workflow chat — walk us through your Resolve project organization, color pipeline, and QC checklist.

Tooling list: Confirm DaVinci Resolve Studio proficiency and note any AI tools you’ve used.

Availability & rate expectations. Include timezone and typical turnaround for a 10?minute doc short.

Screening questions:

Describe a complex grade you executed in Resolve (nodes used, order of operations, color?management approach).

How do you ensure loudness compliance for streaming vs. social?

Share a link to a piece where AI sped up your workflow—what exactly did you use (e.g., Veo?3/Sora 2/Resolve AI tools), and how?
