I run a YouTube channel and need a dedicated Motion Graphics & Animation Specialist. I already have a video editor — your sole job is to own every animation, keep everything strictly on-brand, and deliver polished motion graphics fast.
If you’re not strong in storytelling, branding discipline, or tight deadlines, don’t apply.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create professional animations, transitions, kinetic text, lower thirds, explainers, charts
- Make animations support the story, pacing, emotion, and clarity
- Follow brand guidelines 100% of the time — colors, typography, spacing, transitions
- Build reusable motion templates and systems for the channel
- Sync animations to music, voice-over, beats, and cuts
- Maintain clean and organized projects (naming, folders, compositions, exports)
- Coordinate with our video editor and deliver assets ready to drop into Premiere/Final Cut/DaVinci
- Perform strict quality control before submitting work

- Perform strict quality control: no sloppy easing, wrong fonts, jittering, or off-brand elements

Required Skills
1. Strong Visual Storytelling
- Every animation should enhance clarity, emotion, or pacing.
2. Branding Discipline (Non-negotiable)
- You must stay strictly on brand. Consistency is everything.
3. Speed + Efficiency
- Fast turnaround without sacrificing polish.
4. Mastery of After Effects
- You must be highly competent with:
- Keyframing & graph editor
- Motion curves
- Masking & mattes
- Clean transitions
- Lower thirds & supers
- Building templates
- Bonus: AE 3D or Blender skills
5. Solid Design Fundamentals
- You need real design sense:
- Typography
- Composition
- Color theory
- Hierarchy
- Negative space
6. Plug-ins & Workflow Knowledge
Tools like:
- Flow, Motion 3, etc.
- Mogrt templates
- Expressions
- Render optimization
7. Sound-Driven Animation
- YouTube relies on rhythm. You must know how to sync motion to:
- Beats
- VO
- Music
- Cuts
8. Collaboration With Editors
You must hand off clean, ready-to-drop-in assets with:
- Proper labeling
- Folder structure
- Correct formats
- Organized AE projects
9. Quality Control
- Everything must be polished. No half-baked animations.
10. Understanding YouTube Visual Culture
- You should know:
- What keeps retention
- What visuals perform
- How motion emphasizes key
- How to build visual patterns viewers remember
