About the Role
We're seeking an experience data lover that specializing in SQL, microsoft 365 Sharepoint and Excel automation, that can create aBI dashboard development. If you can clean and transform our datasets, buildiinteractive dashboards and creatie automated reporting workflows as the Automation & Systems Developer. You will build and implement automated workflows for our small but growiing agri commodity trading operations You'll work alongside our VA to create systems that minimise eliminate manual data entry, organize documents in SharePoint, build Power BI dashboards, and parse WhatsApp communications directly into Excel tracking systems.

Core Responsibilities
Automation & Workflow Development

Design and implement Power Automate flows to eliminate manual processes
Build n8n workflows to parse WhatsApp messages and extract key data (prices, quantities, shipment updates) into Excel/SharePoint
Create automated alerts for payments, shipments, documentation deadlines
Integrate multiple systems (Excel, SharePoint, email, messaging) seamlessly

SharePoint & Data Organization

Design SharePoint structure for contracts, shipping documents, certificates across 6+ countries
Build document libraries with metadata, version control, and permissions
Create tracking lists for shipments, suppliers, payments, quality specs
Establish naming conventions and data governance standards

Excel Automation (advanced)

Transform scattered Excel files into structured, automated workbooks
Build Power Query connections and macros/VBA for repetitive tasks
Create templates with data validation for shipment tracking, pricing, margins
Develop automated reporting systems

Business Intelligence

Build Power BI dashboards showing real-time operations metrics
Track container volumes, margins, supplier performance, payment schedules
Design mobile-friendly dashboards with automated refresh schedules
Create drill-down capabilities for detailed analysis

Database Management

Design and maintain SQL databases for operational data
Build ETL processes from Excel/SharePoint to databases
Write queries for analysis and reporting
Ensure data integrity and backup procedures

System Training & Documentation

Document all systems and automation workflows
Train Virtual Assistant on using new tools
Create troubleshooting guides
Gather feedback for continuous improvement

Technical (Must-Have)

5+ years as Data Analyst, Automation Specialist, or similar
Power Automate - complex workflow building
SharePoint - site architecture, libraries, lists, permissions
Advanced Excel - Power Query, macros/VBA, formulas
Power BI - dashboard development, DAX, data modeling
SQL - database design, queries (SQL Server or MySQL)
n8n or similar API integrations, data parsing
Python - Pandas, NumPy for data manipulation
