Are you detail-oriented, technically skilled, and eager to grow in the clean energy industry? We’re looking for a Construction Virtual Assistant to join our team supporting solar, battery storage, and microgrid projects across California.
This is a remote, full-time position aligned with the Pacific Time Zone (U.S.), working closely with our engineering, permitting, and project management teams.
Responsibilities:
You will play a key role in supporting the project development and construction coordination process, including:
1. Preparing and submitting permit applications and interconnection packages to utilities and AHJs.
2. Assisting in solar and electrical system design coordination, using tools like OpenSolar, Helioscope, Energy Toolbase.
3. Organizing project documents, engineering files, and trackers in Google Drive, Zoho, and other internal systems.
4. Coordinating with designers, engineers, and field teams to ensure project timelines are met.
5. Reviewing plan sets, data sheets, and layouts for accuracy and compliance.
6. Supporting project managers with work-in-progress tracking, schedule monitoring, and installation progress updates.
7. Maintaining detailed records, reports, and follow-up logs to ensure smooth project execution.
Qualifications
1. Background in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or Construction is highly preferred.
2. Strong understanding of solar energy systems, electrical components, and permitting terminology.
3. Experience using design tools is a big plus.
4. Proficient with Google Workspace (Sheets, Drive, Docs), Zoho, and project management tools.
5. Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving.
7. Able to work flexible hours and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
