Google Technical Specialist (Backend & Tracking)
Reports To: Google Technical Lead
Remote | Full Time

Growth Huntr is a performance-driven eCommerce agency scaling brands across AU & US.
We are hiring a Google Technical Specialist to support our Google Technical Lead in maintaining tracking accuracy, Merchant Center health, and backend account integrity across multiple eCommerce brands.
This is a high-level technical execution role, not a strategy-only or campaign-building position.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for ensuring all Google accounts are technically sound, scalable, and compliant.
You will handle technical issues.

Core Responsibilities:
Tracking & Tagging
Implement and validate GA4 ecommerce tracking

Deploy and troubleshoot Google Ads conversion tags

Work inside Google Tag Manager (GTM)

Diagnose discrepancies (Shopify vs GA4 vs Google Ads)

Support Enhanced Conversions setup

Merchant Center & Feed Management
Monitor product diagnostics and disapprovals

Resolve incorrect price / availability mismatches

Support feed rule implementation

Maintain SKU health and compliance

Assist with suspension investigations

Performance Max & Account Hygiene
Validate listing group structures

Monitor asset group segmentation

Check conversion settings and attribution windows

Review change history for anomalies

Support MCC-level structure consistency

Troubleshooting & Escalations
Investigate tracking failures

Diagnose sudden performance drops

Resolve feed integration breakdowns

Prepare technical summaries before escalation

Required Experience
3+ years Google Ads experience (eCommerce focus)

Strong Merchant Center knowledge

Advanced GTM & GA4 implementation

Experience working inside MCC

Comfortable debugging tracking issues independently

Mandatory Technical Video Assessment
Candidates must record a Loom screen-share demonstrating how they would diagnose and fix:

Shopify shows 30 purchases. Google Ads shows 4.

Merchant Center suspended for “Misrepresentation”.

400 products disapproved for incorrect price.

Performance Max revenue drops 50% week-over-week.
