We are a U.S.-based company seeking a talented and detail-oriented website specialist to redesign and modernize our current WordPress website. The goal is a polished, professional online presence that reflects our brand identity and provides a seamless user experience. It should also work across multiple platforms (desktop, mobile, etc.).
You will lead the design and development process, propose an updated layout and structure, and deliver a fast, scalable WordPress setup that is easy for our staff to maintain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review our existing website and identify opportunities to improve design, structure, and performance.
- Propose updated layouts and design concepts aligned with the firm's branding.
- Design and build a fully custom WordPress theme (not a modified marketplace theme or template).
- Implement a streamlined page-building workflow using native WordPress tools or a lightweight editor.
- Collaborate with our SEO coordinator and designer to ensure best practices in structure, navigation, and optimization.
- Provide basic documentation or training so tea
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience building custom WordPress themes from scratch (please include portfolio links).
- Strong knowledge of WordPress architecture, performance optimization, and SEO-friendly structures.
- Excellent grasp of responsive design and intuitive UX principles.
- Ability to design within an established brand while refreshing the look and feel.
- Clear communication skills and comfort working with a remote, U.S.-based team.
- Experience working with law firms or professional services clients is a plus.
Project Details:
- One-time redesign project with potential for ongoing work.
- Flexible working hours, though some overlap with U.S. Eastern Time is preferred.
