Overview
We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Podcast Editor to support the production of an established marketing podcast.
This role is ideal for someone who has a good ear for storytelling, understands pacing and flow, and can ensure every episode sounds polished and professional from start to finish.
You’ll work independently, communicate via Asana, and ensure that final episodes are ready for upload to Buzzsprout each week.
Responsibilities
1) Podcast Editing
Edit weekly podcast episodes recorded in Riverside for clarity, pacing, and flow.
Remove filler words, background noise, and mistakes while maintaining natural conversation.
Mix and master audio for consistent sound quality across episodes.
Add intro/outro music, transitions, and ads (if applicable).
Export and deliver final episode files in MP3 and WAV formats (or as specified).
2) Post-Production & Publishing
Upload finalized episodes to Buzzsprout, including show title, description, and metadata.
Organize all raw and edited files in Google Drive or Dropbox, using the established folder structure.
Maintain a simple episode tracker via Asana (guest, title, publish date, duration, links).
Ensure proper episode numbering and scheduling accuracy.
3) Quality Control
Conduct a full listen-through of final exports before delivery.
Double-check links, audio quality, and file naming consistency.
Notify Sophia or the team via Asana if there are any missing assets or unusual issues in the recording.
4) Skills & Tools
Proficiency with tools used to edit audio/video.
Experience editing conversational podcasts with natural pacing
Familiarity with Riverside (downloading, managing, and organizing raw files)
Experience publishing to Buzzsprout (or willingness to learn)
Strong English comprehension and ability to follow brand tone guidelines
Excellent organization, communication, and time management skills
5) Workflow & Communication
All assignments and due dates are managed in Asana.
Communication and questions happen directly in Asana comments.
No U.S. working hours required, but timely task updates are expected.
All work must be completed by the Contractor directly — no subcontracting.
6) Additional Notes
In order to be considered, you MUST include an example of your podcast work, provide your per episode rate, and a brief description of your experience/tools/etc. If you do not include these, you will be declined automatically.
This is a long-term, ongoing role for the right candidate.
Payment is made via Wise.
All materials created for this project (including edited files, templates, and assets) are the intellectual property of the Client.
Consistency, communication, and attention to detail are key to success in this role.
