As we enter a significant growth phase, we are seeking a dynamic and driven Business Manager to lead our commercial efforts.

The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Manager to take full ownership of our sales, marketing, and business development strategy. This is a pivotal role where you will be the engine for our growth, responsible for expanding our client base, strengthening our market presence, and driving reve-nue.
You will be a strategic leader with an in-depth understanding of our industry. Your expertise in UK and Northern Ireland health and safety legislation will be crucial in building credibility with clients and tailoring solutions that meet their specific compliance needs.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
1. Business Development & Sales:
• Develop and execute a robust strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
• Proactively identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities across various sectors (construction, healthcare, corporate, education, etc.).
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential clients through a combi-nation of cold calling, networking, and lead follow-up.
• Conduct compelling client presentations and proposals, effectively articu-lating the value and ROI of our training programmes.
• Negotiate and close contracts with clients of all sizes, from SMEs to large corporate accounts.
• Manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact to final agreement.
2. Marketing Strategy:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan to enhance brand awareness and generate high-quality leads.
• Manage our digital marketing presence, including, social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.), and email marketing campaigns.
• Oversee the creation of marketing collateral
• Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportuni-ties and refine our value proposition.
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums.
3. Client Relationship and Industry Expertise:
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, leveraging your deep knowledge of health and safety training to recommend the most suitable courses for their compliance requirements.
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of key UK and Northern Ireland health and safety legislation, including but not limited to the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, Management of Health and Safety at Work Regula-tions 1999, and their Northern Ireland equivalents.
• Possess a thorough understanding of the nuances between awarding bod-ies
• Maintain and develop strong, long-term relationships with existing clients to ensure high levels of retention and identify opportunities for account growth.
4. Operational & Strategic Leadership:
• Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to the Leadership team.
• Collaborate with the training and operations team to ensure seamless course delivery and exceptional client service.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the business, identifying new course offerings and market opportunities.

Essential Skills and Experience:
• Proven Track Record: A demonstrable and strong background in business development, sales, and marketing, with a history of meeting and exceeding targets. A mandatory minimum of 5 years' professional experience as a Business Manager within a UK-based company, with a strong preference for direct experience within a training centre environment. You must have an in-depth understanding of the operational and commercial dynamics of the UK training sector. Candidates without this specific, verifiable 5-year UK work history will not be considered.
• Industry Knowledge: In-depth, practical knowledge of a wide range of UK and Northern Ireland health and safety training courses
• Legislative Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of UK and Northern Ireland health and safety laws, regulations, and approved codes of practice. You must be able to confidently discuss compliance requirements with cli-ents.
• Excellent Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport, influence decision-makers, and deliver engaging presentations.
• Full Commitment: Must have no other work commitments that could conflict with the demands of this role.
• Character References: Ability to provide at least three professional, verifiable character references that attest to your integrity, work ethic, and sales performance.
