JOB OVERVIEW

Job Overview
Our client builds practical HR software and services for Australian SMEs. They have a culture that is friendly, organised, and human centric. Currently they are hiring a Full Stack Developer with strong back?end experience in C# and ASP.NET Core to improve and extend their HR platforms and internal systems. You will learn the stack through real bug fixes, unit tests, and refactors, then move into feature work with clear priorities and tidy code. This is a highly desirable role for skilled developers in the Philippines who want a stable, long?term position with a supportive Australian team.

Key Responsibilities
- Back?end and APIs
- Investigate and resolve defects, exceptions, and performance issues
- Design and implement Web APIs and supporting services
- Model data changes and write efficient SQL for MSSQL
- Apply MVC and CQRS patterns where appropriate


Quality Engineering
- Write and maintain unit tests to raise confidence and speed
- Refactor legacy code into clearer, testable components
- Participate in code reviews using GitHub PRs


Delivery and Documentation
- Support releases with test notes and simple runbooks
- Contribute to internal engineering documentation
- Keep work small, incremental, and well described in tickets


Collaboration
- Work with the CTO and senior engineer to plan work and sequence changes
- Communicate progress and risks clearly in stand?ups and async threads
- Share findings and propose improvements to tooling or process


Qualifications and Experience
Must Haves
- Minimum of 3-5 Years Experience
- Commercial experience with C#, ASP.NET Core, and Entity Framework Core
- Solid SQL skills with MSSQL and T?SQL
- Experience building and consuming Web APIs
- Proficiency with GitHub workflows for branching, reviews, and PRs
- Clear written and verbal communication for a remote team
- Have ---------- applications for deployment to Microsoft Azure

Desirable
Experience with SPA frameworks preferably AngularJS, but exposure to others is a plus.
Strong debugging skills and a methodical approach to problem solving
Practical experience refactoring ---------- codebases
Exposure to performance profiling and optimisation ---------- and SQL
Familiarity with CQRS patterns and API versioning

Tools You Will Use
C#, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework Core, MSSQL and T?SQL, Web APIs, MVC and CQRS patterns, JavaScript and HTML with SPA frameworks, GitHub for source control, reviews and workflows.
