Freelance Animator / 3D Animator (Gig-Based with Opportunity for Ongoing Work)

About Us:
We’re 175 Productions, a creative video production company based in Northern California. Our projects range from branded content and event videos to cinematic storytelling and commercial campaigns. We’re expanding our team to include talented animators who can bring visuals to life through motion and 3D design.

About the Role:
We’re looking for a freelance motion designer / 3D animator who’s passionate about visual storytelling, detail-oriented, and quick to turn around quality work. This role is gig-based to start, with opportunities to grow into ongoing or full-time work as we build together.

What You’ll Do:

Create 2D and 3D animations for branded content, explainer videos, and promotional materials

Collaborate with our production team to match the tone, pacing, and branding of each project

Design visually engaging motion graphics, text animations, and transitions

Work efficiently under deadlines with clear communication

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in 2D/3D animation (please include portfolio or reel)

Proficiency in tools like After Effects, Blender, or Cinema 4D

Strong understanding of motion, lighting, and composition

Excellent communication and responsiveness

Fast turnaround time without sacrificing quality

Nice to Have:

Experience with compositing or VFX

Ability to create custom textures, lighting setups, or character rigs

Sound design or visual storytelling experience

Compensation:

Gig-based per project
