JOB OVERVIEW

Story-Driven Video Editor (Short-Form / Reels) — Join the Ghost Post Roster

Our editing service is building an elite roster of editors who can handle consistent workloads and create story-driven, aesthetic edits — not just technical assembly cuts.

Think: Tom Noske, Ali Abdaal, Vox-style — cinematic pacing, rhythm, emotion, and clean design.

If you know how to craft narrative, design ---------- nts, and make visuals feel something, we want to see your work.

What You’ll Do
• Edit up to 30–40 short-form videos per month (typically 6–10 per weekly batch, depending on project flow)
• Cut, caption, and design content with strong storytelling and cinematic pacing
• Follow creative briefs and maintain proactive communication with our team — sharing progress, clarifying direction, and collaborating efficiently
• Move projects forward even when direction is incomplete — use creative judgment to keep production ---------- ntum
• Apply intentional design — every transition, effect, and caption should serve the story and aesthetic, not just decorate it
• Collaborate through structured systems (Google Drive, ---------- , Notion) to keep workflows organized and consistent

You Should Have
• Excellent storytelling instincts — understanding emotion, rhythm, and narrative tension
• Strong sense of composition, typography, and pacing
• Fluent English (written and spoken) — tone, flow, and caption accuracy matter
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects — this role requires design-forward, polished execution
• Experience with cloud-based workflows (Google Drive, ---------- , or similar)
• Fast, stable internet connection for reliable asset transfers

Bonus Skills
• Custom text animation, masking/rotoscoping, tracking, and motion design in After Effects
• Experience editing for creators, agencies, or YouTube storytelling formats
• Strong design sensibility — you understand how style, typography, and rhythm create emotion and clarity

Compensation & Structure
• Contract-based position with long-term potential for full-time
• $800–$1,200 USD/month base, depending on skill, speed, and storytelling ability
• Workload may vary as client load scales — some months may have fewer assignments initially
• Performance and consistency bonuses available
• Paid monthly
• Structured around weekly batch delivery (6–10 videos per sprint)

Important Note

Generic submissions will be passed over. Applications without clearly labeled, relevant examples (like Tom Noske, Ali Abdaal, Vox) or with excessive spelling and grammar errors will be also be automatically passed over.
Attention to detail, design intent, and communication are non-negotiable for this role.
