JOB OVERVIEW

Independent YouTube Video Editor (Finance/Politics Niche)

We’re looking for a skilled and reliable YouTube video editor with a passion for storytelling and a sharp eye for detail. You’ll be editing content in the finance, politics, and investing space — so we’re specifically looking for someone who’s not just technically strong, but also follows the news, understands investments and current events, and can bring scripts to life with relevant visual storytelling.

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Editing talking-head style videos from a pre-recorded presenter and script
• Adding subtitles, relevant B-roll, animations, graphs, charts, ---------- s, and news snippets to maintain engagement
• Creating dynamic, YouTube-optimized edits in the style of this video:
----------
• Creating or sourcing relevant B-roll and screen recordings (e.g., app walkthroughs)
• Managing edits independently from brief to final export

What We Provide:
• Scripts written and finalized in advance
• High-quality presenter footage
• Access to our private investor/news-focused community for inspiration, screen recordings, and trends

Who We’re Looking For:
• Experience editing for YouTube
• You can work solo without needing to be micro-managed
• You’re comfortable with screen-recording financial tools or finding fitting B-roll
• You have an interest in topics like money, politics, and breaking down complex systems
• You understand storytelling, pacing, and how to visually support a narrative
• You know how to use; playbook, clickup and Miro

Bonus if you:
• Have a background in motion graphics or animation
• Know how to optimize for CTR and AVD
• Are up-to-date on financial influencers and news trends

How to Apply:
Please send:
1. A short message about yourself and your experience
2. 2–3 relevant YouTube videos you’ve edited (ideally in similar style/niche)
3. Your rate (hourly or per video)
4. Your typical turnaround time for a 10 minute video

Let’s create high-impact videos that wake people up. If you’ve got the editing chops and the insight to match, we want to hear from you.
