Loan Processor – U.S. Mortgage Experience Required
We’re looking for an experienced and detail-driven Loan Processor to join our mortgage operations team. In this role, you’ll manage each loan file from application through closing, ensuring a smooth process and a great borrower experience. The right candidate will have recent, hands-on experience in U.S. mortgage processing, with direct borrower interaction and thorough document review. Excellent English communication skills (both written and spoken) and strong organization are essential for this borrower-facing position.
What You’ll Do
Review and process mortgage applications, confirming accuracy and completeness while adhering to company, investor, and federal guidelines.
Gather, verify, and analyze borrower documentation such as:
Loan applications and credit reports
Verifications of mortgage (VOM) and employment/income (VOE, pay stubs, tax returns)
Bank statements, asset documentation, and purchase contracts
Appraisals, title reports, and other supporting items
Communicate directly with borrowers in a professional, friendly manner to request updates or clarify information.
Collaborate with loan officers, underwriters, title companies, and third-party vendors to keep files moving efficiently.
Manage your pipeline to meet deadlines and maintain service-level expectations.
Ensure compliance with all investor and regulatory requirements throughout the process.
Prepare complete and accurate files for underwriting and clear any outstanding conditions.
Keep files up-to-date and organized within the loan origination system (LOS).
Provide regular updates to borrowers and tea
Identify and resolve potential issues early to prevent delays in closing.
What We’re Looking For
Strong English communication skills with a clear, neutral accent for direct borrower conversations.
At least 2 years of recent experience processing U.S. mortgage loans within the last 5 years.
Most recent position must have involved full-scope loan processing (not data entry or doc-ordering only).
Proven experience reviewing borrower documents (income, credit, assets, VOM, appraisal, etc.).
Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask under pressure.
Willingness to provide references from previous U.S. mortgage employers (verification required).
Ability to manage multiple files and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with common U.S. loan origination systems (LOS).
