Deterrent is a next-generation Residential Security Subscription Platform, providing verified nightly patrols and visual deterrence for homes across Melbourne.
We’re preparing to launch large-scale marketing and recruitment campaigns for our creative, marketing, and field operations teams, and we’re seeking a reliable HR & Recruitment Virtual Assistant to help us screen and manage applicants from OnlineJobs.ph, Upwork, and other platforms.

Position Overview
You’ll assist in identifying and pre-screening creative professionals (video editors, designers, marketers) and other potential tea
Your goal is to filter out unqualified candidates and present only the most suitable, verified, and responsive applicants to our management team.

Key Responsibilities
• Monitor OnlineJobs.ph, Upwork, and Fiverr daily for new applicants.
• Screen applicants based on our criteria (skills, English proficiency, reliability, communication).
• Conduct initial message replies, confirm availability, and gather missing details.
• Score applicants (1–5) on a shared tracking sheet.
• Present 3–5 top candidates weekly with notes and summaries.
• Manage Google Sheets or Trello boards for candidate tracking.
• Maintain strict confidentiality — you’ll represent a security brand.

What We’re Looking For
• Minimum 1 year experience in recruitment, HR assistance, or virtual hiring.
• Excellent English writing and communication skills.
• Confident using Google Workspace, Canva, and Trello/Notion.
• Strong attention to detail — must follow screening criteria precisely.
• Reliable internet connection and consistent availability for daily updates.
Bonus Skills (Preferred):
• Experience hiring video editors, content creators, or marketing staff.
• Familiarity with security, patrol, or residential service industries.
• Previous work with Australian or U.S.-based clients.
