Virtual Assistant – Australian Mortgage Broking Experience (Philippines-Based)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Virtual Assistant (VA) based in the Philippines with a minimum of 2 years’ experience supporting Australian mortgage brokers.

You’ll play a key role in managing purchase and refinance applications, communicating directly with clients, and researching and solving complex credit scenarios. You’ll work alongside an experienced independent broker who values initiative, accuracy, and proactive client service.

This role is ideal for someone confident in client communication, organised with deadlines, and comfortable handling multiple loan files from submission through to settlement. Any sales support experience will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end loan processing for purchase, refinance, and top-up applications

Communicate directly with clients to provide updates, explain milestones, and request documents

Research complex credit scenarios using lender policies, servicing tools, and aggregator resources

Liaise with lenders, solicitors, and aggregators to track progress and resolve outstanding issues

Prepare serviceability calculators, compliance forms, and ensure all required documentation is complete

Maintain up-to-date records in Mercury Connective, Quickli, and BrokerEngine

Assist with onboarding, pre-submission checks, and settlement follow-ups

Provide sales administration support, including lead re-engagement and nurture activities

Ensure compliance standards and deadlines are consistently met


Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 2 years of experience with an Australian mortgage broker or aggregator

Strong knowledge of purchase, refinance, and investment lending processes

Proficient in Mercury Connective, Quickli, and ideally BrokerEngine

Sound understanding of credit policy, loan structures, and compliance (BID, NCCP)

Experience researching credit scenarios and liaising with lenders

Excellent written and spoken English for clear, client-facing communication

Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines


Bonus Skills (Preferred)

Previous experience in sales support or client success roles

Familiarity with ApplyOnline, LoanApp, or NextGen portals

Exposure to SMSF, reverse mortgages, or complex lending

Basic knowledge of marketing CRM automation


Working Hours & Setup

Full-time role based in the Philippines
• Monday to Friday, 10 AM – 7 PM Sydney time / 7 AM – 4 PM Philippine time
• Daily task check-ins via Slack and weekly catch-ups via Zoom
