JOB OVERVIEW

Promo Panda is a PR tech company helping professionals worldwide grow their brands and careers through media placement. We’re looking for a backend software developer to design scalable systems, build robust APIs, and integrate AI models into production workflows.

This is a developer-first role. Middleware automation (n8n, [ ---------- ]( ---------- ), Zapier) is part of our stack, but if you can build production-grade services, you’ll find those tools easy. You’ll collaborate directly with our lead developer to deliver systems that power real customer workflows.

Core Technical Requirements
• Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js preferred)
• Track record building production-grade backend applications
• Knowledge of API design and microservices architecture
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and serverless deployments
• Proficiency with Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to write clean, well-documented, maintainable code

AI/LLM Experience
• Experience integrating LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google APIs) into applications
• Understanding of prompt engineering and model parameter tuning
• Ability to build robust error handling and retry mechanisms for AI pipelines

What You’ll Build
• Backend services and APIs using Node.js
• Custom integrations ( ---------- v, middleware platforms, direct APIs)
• LLM-powered data processing pipelines
• Automated testing and monitoring frameworks

Trial Period
• Paid trial: $500 for a 2-week contract (to assess fit and output)
• Potential for ongoing, longer-term engagement depending on performance

Technical Challenge

Candidates will complete a practical assessment, which may include:
• Building a Node.js service that processes data using LLMs
• Implementing background jobs (e.g., ---------- v)
• Creating robust error handling/retry logic
• Demonstrating clean code organization and documentation

How to Apply

Please include:
• GitHub profile or portfolio of relevant work
• The word blue in your application
• Examples of production Node.js applications you’ve built
• Any experience with AI/LLM integration
