Job Title: Healthcare Credentialing & Payer Enrollment Specialist
Hourly up to 10 hours per week.
Prior experience with payer enrollment in AthenaOne is required.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Healthcare Credentialing & Payer Enrollment Specialist. This role is critical to ensuring our providers are properly credentialed, licensed, and enrolled with payers in Athena (our EHR platform).
Key Responsibilities:
Manage payer enrollment in Athena for new and existing providers, ensuring accuracy and timely submissions.
Support the provider credentialing process, including collecting required documentation, maintaining files, and monitoring status updates.
Assist with state medical licensing applications and renewals, tracking deadlines and preparing required paperwork.
Communicate with U.S. payer networks, state licensing boards, and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure compliance.
Maintain detailed records of provider credentials, licensing statuses, and payer enrollments in shared tracking systems.
Provide regular updates and reports to leadership on progress and outstanding tasks.
Qualifications:
Prior experience with Athenahealth.
At least 2 years of experience in provider credentialing, provider licensing, and payer enrollment.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
Comfortable working U.S. business hours or overlapping hours when needed.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with CAQH, PECOS, NPI, Medicare/Medicaid, and commercial payer processes.
Experience supporting U.S.-based healthcare providers (MD, NP, PA, GC, etc.).
Knowledge of state medical licensing requirements.
