We are a growing social media agency and influencer brand looking for a detail-oriented, tech-savvy bookkeeper to manage our financial systems efficiently. The ideal candidate will be experienced in QuickBooks and Relay, familiar with the Profit First system, and capable of maintaining accurate financial records, tracking cash flow, and automating financial reporting.
This role requires a proactive approach to financial oversight, ensuring our accounts are up to date, expenses are categorized correctly, and financial reports are accurate for decision-making. The bookkeeper will also help streamline our automated reporting processes using Zapier, Google Sheets, and QuickBooks integrations.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Cash Management (Automated)
• Ensure daily cash updates are correctly generated via Relay and QuickBooks.
• Monitor and reconcile incoming payments and expenses.
• Identify any discrepancies and report potential financial risks.
Profit First System Management
• Oversee Relay account allocations to ensure funds are properly distributed.
• Adjust percentages based on revenue and business needs.
• Ensure the tax account is properly funded for estimated payments.
Expense Tracking & Categorization
• Maintain and auto-categorize transactions in QuickBooks.
• Ensure all expenses are correctly logged and matched with bank statements.
• Flag any unusual spending or budget concerns.
Scorecard & Reporting
• Update financial scorecard weekly with revenue, expenses, and profitability.
• Pull key reports from QuickBooks (P&L, cash flow statements, etc.).
• Assist in integrating automated reporting tools (Zapier, Google Sheets).
Monthly Reconciliation & Reports
• Reconcile bank transactions and ensure QuickBooks accuracy.
• Prepare a monthly financial summary with key takeaways.
• Identify trends in spending, revenue, and profit margins.
Quarterly Financial Reviews
• Analyze and adjust Profit First allocations based on business growth.
• Work with a CPA (if needed) to ensure tax compliance.
• Provide insights into financial performance for strategic decision-making.
Who You Are:
Proficient in QuickBooks Online & Relay
Experienced with Profit First system (or willing to learn)
Strong in financial reconciliation & categorization
Tech-savvy with Zapier, Google Sheets, and automation tools
Detail-oriented with a proactive problem-solving mindset
Previous experience working with small businesses, agencies, or influencers is a plus
