Role Overview:
As a Part-Time QA Agent (Manual QA), you’ll ensure the quality and reliability of our products—especially our AI phone agent for restaurants — by executing test plans, exploratory testing, and validating features in staging. You’ll review real customer call logs, surface issues, and create crystal-clear Linear tickets for developers. This role is ~20 hours/week to start, with the potential to move to full-time.

Key Responsibilities:
- Execute smoke, regression, and exploratory tests across web apps and our AI phone agent in staging.
- Place structured test calls to the AI agent and verify call flows, intent handling, interruptions/barge-in, fallbacks, and overall call quality.
- Review and annotate call logs/transcripts from real users to identify new issues and edge cases.
- Write clear, reproducible bug reports and improvement suggestions in Linear (expected vs. actual, repro steps, environment, artifacts).
- Partner with developers and PMs to verify fixes, manage test cycles, and maintain lightweight QA docs/checklists.
- Proactively propose test cases and acceptance criteria for upcoming features.

Required Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years in manual QA for web or voice/chat products.
- Proven ability to write precise repro steps and actionable bug reports (Linear, Jira, or similar).
- Comfortable testing web apps (browsers, responsive UI) and basic API sanity checks (Postman/Insomnia a plus).
- Strong attention to detail, bias for clarity, and excellent English communication (written & verbal).
- Self-directed, reliable, and comfortable working remotely with partial overlap in business hours.

- Experience testing voice agents / telephony (e.g., call flows, latency, STT/TTS accuracy, barge-in).
- Light test automation exposure (e.g., Playwright/Cypress) or scripting (JS/Python) for repetitive checks.
- Basic SQL for data validation.

Compensation:
- Hourly rate: $3/hr to $10/hr depending on experience and performance during the interview process.
