JOB OVERVIEW

Description:
LP Equity, a U.S.-based private equity firm, is looking for a highly detail-oriented research assistant to help us locate and update contact information for limited partners in older real estate partnerships (often formed in the 1980s–1990s). Many of the records we have only include an outdated address, so your role will be to track down current addresses, phone numbers, and (where applicable) surviving family members or estate contacts.

Responsibilities:

Use online research tools to locate current contact information (address, phone, email) for individuals based on outdated data (sometimes decades old).

Identify surviving family members or estate representatives when the original partner is deceased.

Cross-reference multiple sources to ensure accuracy and reliability of contact details.

Deliver findings in a clear, well-organized spreadsheet with source links.

Qualifications:

Strong experience in skip tracing, genealogy research, or advanced people-finding techniques.

Proficiency with online databases (public records, obituaries, social media, people search tools).

Familiarity with U.S. naming conventions and addresses.

Exceptional attention to detail and ability to verify sources.

Excellent written English for clear communication.

Preferred (not required):

Background in real estate, legal research, or title/records searching.

Experience using people-search platforms (beenverified, truthfinder, whitepages, ---------- , etc.).

Initial Project:
As a test, we’ll provide a small batch of names with outdated addresses from partnership records. Please attempt to update their mailing addresses and phone numbers, and note any deceased individuals with suggested estate/family contacts.

Compensation:

Starting at $4–$8/hour depending on experience.

Part-time to start; opportunity to grow into steady, ongoing role as we scale.
