# In-House Developer - Legal Technology Automation

We are looking to hire a full-time, in-house developer for our growing U.S.-based law firm (20 attorneys) to build and implement automation solutions and technology integration across our practice.

## Position Overview

The Developer will work a regular schedule of 8 hours per day, the exact time is flexible. Work during Philippines daytime hours is acceptable provided it allows for meetings during U.S. Central Time business hours as needed (approximately 1-3 times per week). This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems that streamline our legal processes.

## Key Responsibilities

**Systems Integration & Automation**
- Design and implement automated workflows to reduce manual tasks across various departments
- Integrate disparate systems to create unified data flows and analytics capabilities
- Develop custom applications and tools tailored to legal practice needs
- Create and maintain APIs for seamless data exchange between platforms

**AI Implementation & Management**
- Deploy and configure AI-powered tools and agents for various legal functions
- Build and maintain in-house AI solutions with local deployment capabilities
- Develop training materials and best practices for AI tool usage across the firm
- Monitor and optimize AI tool performance and user adoption

**Data Management & Analytics**
- Create a method for comprehensive data tracking and analytics across existing lead generation, intake, client management, and billing systems
- Develop reporting dashboards and business intelligence tools
- Ensure data integrity and implement proper backup and security measures
- Build systems for case tracking and deadline management

**Process Optimization**
- Analyze existing workflows and identify opportunities for technological improvement
- Collaborate with practice areas to develop specialized automation solutions
- Create and maintain documentation for all developed systems
- Provide ongoing technical support and system maintenance

**Growth Opportunities**
The firm will provide opportunities for the developer to expand their skillset consistent with emerging legal technology trends and the developer's interests, including potential involvement in cutting-edge legal tech initiatives.

## REQUIREMENTS

**Technical Skills:**
- 3+ years of software development experience with demonstrated ability to build production-ready applications
- Proficiency in modern programming languages (Python, JavaScript, Java, C#, or similar)
- Experience with database design and management (SQL and NoSQL)
- Knowledge of API development and integration
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- Understanding of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks)

**Professional Qualities:**
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical users
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Experience working in professional services or legal environment preferred
- Hardworking and honest with commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional standards

**Work Environment:**
- Excellent internet connection and a quiet place to work from home
- Modern computer capable of running development environments and professional software suites
- Availability for periodic (1-3x per week) meetings during U.S. Central Time business hours (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Central Time)
- Experience working with U.S.-based clients or teams preferred

- Collaborative mindset with ability to work effectively with attorneys and staff
- Not afraid to ask questions and propose innovative solutions

This position is not suitable for contractors working for multiple clients or those seeking part-time arrangements. Because this is a full-time position, outside development projects must be approved by firm management.

## COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

**Pay:** $8-12 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. Salary will be paid twice per month.

**Benefits Package:**
- 13th month bonus (equal to the average of one month's pay, prorated for partial years)
- Vacation and sick time can be requested but are not paid during the first year
- 2 weeks per year paid vacation after first year
- 5 sick days per year after first year
- 12-14 paid holidays per year
- SSS reimbursement of up to $50 per month
- Philhealth reimbursement up to $50 per month
- Private health insurance reimbursement of up to $30 per month

## WORK SCHEDULE
40 hours per week with flexible scheduling. Core development work can be performed during Philippines daytime hours. Periodic meetings with U.S. tea ---------- mbers during Central Time business hours (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) will be required. Weekend work is never required, and work-life balance is valued and respected.

## LOCATION
**Location Preference: Philippines**

This is a remote position for Philippines-based candidates. You will be expected to work from your own home with a high-speed internet connection and professional workspace.
