About Us:
We are an Australian-based eCommerce and product company working across multiple brands in areas such as kitchenware, outdoor living, and consumer goods. We are looking for a reliable Procurement Assistant to support our sourcing and supplier management, mainly from China.
Your Role
You will be responsible for end-to-end sourcing, from finding suppliers to negotiating terms and managing samples.
Key Responsibilities:
Source products and suppliers using Alibaba and similar platforms
Compare suppliers based on price, MOQ, lead time, and quality
Send inquiries (RFQs) and communicate professionally with suppliers
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and production timelines
Arrange and manage sample orders and evaluations
Prepare comparison reports and recommendations
Understand and apply Incoterms (EXW, FOB, CIF, DDP, etc.)
Coordinate shipping and basic logistics requirements
Maintain supplier database and sourcing records
Continuously look for better suppliers and cost improvements
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years experience in sourcing/procurement
Strong experience with Alibaba sourcing
Good understanding of international shipping & Incoterms
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
Ability to manage multiple suppliers and tasks independently
Nice to Have:
Experience sourcing from China
Experience in kitchenware, BBQ, outdoor, or consumer products
Basic quality control knowledge
