JOB OVERVIEW

Website Content Assistant

General Job Description:

Work with the Content Manager and the growing marketing team at Adventure Life to complete website content quality assurance, SEO and copywriting-related projects.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

- Assist in performing audits of Adventure Life’s website pages, including review of main landing pages and index pages for image quality and accuracy of content according to current products offered and travel industry resources
- Collaborate with Adventure Life staff and suppliers to research and collect current resources
- Execute ongoing content optimization projects with Adventure Life and consulting partners
- Research optimal keywords and format to optimize content for pickup in search and LLMs
- Assist with article writing, article optimization and review, and other related copywriting tasks

Required Skills and Experience:

- Computer literacy, including familiarity with Google Suite tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong web research skills
- Proven competency in copywriting for SEO/GEO
- Basic knowledge of SEO/GEO principles and keyword research
- Critical thinking skills to assess the accuracy of written content relevant to Adventure Life product
- Strong attention to detail
- Independent work ethic and ability to meet communicated deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

- A bachelor’s (or equivalent) degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
- 2+ years of relevant communications or administrative experience
- Google Adwords knowledge or experience preferred
- Understanding of basic SEO principles, such as keyword research and link building preferred
- Experience in UX design, graphic design, and/or photography a plus
- Travel industry knowledge or experience

This is a full-time, 40 hours/week position scheduled by the Content Manager within Adventure Life business hours of 7AM-7PM Mountain Standard Time Monday through Friday (though schedule flexibility may be possible). This position is fully remote.
