JOB OVERVIEW

Introduction:

We are a progressive, growing mid-tier accounting firm located in Brisbane Australia. We are looking to hire a bookkeeper in a full-time position in a work from home role.

Experience/Education:

- 4+ years in a BPO, Australian Accounting Firm or other work from home environment
- Experience in Australian Business Accounting/Bookkeeping/Payroll/ BAS
- Accounting Degree qualified or certified Bookkeeper

Key Tasks:

This role will be to service a book of clients for our associated company SRJ Walker Wayland, under the supervision of your Team Leader and your Manager. Duties of this role will include:

- Bank and credit card Reconciliations across multiple companies
- General Ledger Maintenance/Bookkeeping
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Accounts Payable/Receivable management
- Monthly reconciliations for debtor/creditor accounts
- Processing up to Trial Balance stage
- Preparing Business Activity statements
- Follow-up clients directly for receipts and general queries
- Assist with reporting
- Processing payroll
- Assist with administrative tasks

Software:

- Xero experience of 4+ years - certified
- Dext experience
- MS Office 365 suite and MS Teams
- Other software experience such as use of Tanda, Account Kit, Approval Max, Aroflo, Deputy, Hubdocs or Dear Inventory is an advantage
