About the Role:
We’re hiring a Video Editor with deep experience crafting high-converting direct response videos for paid media. You should be fluent in the language of performance marketing (hooks, pacing, retention tactics) and capable of turning raw footage and briefs into compelling, scroll-stopping video ads.
You’ll work closely with our Sr. Performance Marketing Manager to deliver 35–45 videos per month. This includes variations based on top-performing creatives so not every video will be edited from scratch. Many will be adaptations with new hooks, cuts, or formats to test performance. Each video should be designed to drive action, not just views. You'll get detailed creative briefs, but you’ll also have creative freedom to propose ideas, suggest new hooks, and guide how the story unfolds through editing.
Key Responsibilities:
Edit and deliver 35–45 short-form video ads monthly (for Meta, TikTok, etc.)
Use strong visual storytelling to maximize viewer retention and conversions
Implement best practices around first 3-second hooks, pacing, and CTA placement
Analyze feedback and performance to continuously improve editing approach
Requirements:
? 2+ years editing direct response or eCommerce video ads
? Deep understanding of attention-retention tactics and storytelling for paid ads
? Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (or equivalent)
? Strong portfolio with high-performing ad examples
? Available for 2 hrs/day overlap with US time zones
Bonus Points:
? Familiarity with supplements, wellness, or beauty DTC brands
? Knowledge of platform-specific best practices (Meta, TikTok, YouTube Shorts)
? Experience with motion graphics / text overlay storytelling
? Understanding of performance metrics (e.g., CAC, CVR, CTR, ROAS, thumbstop rate)
