Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our team on a full-time, graveyard shift schedule. The successful candidate will be responsible for bookkeeping, invoicing, collections, and QuickBooks tasks, along with handling voice-based collection calls to follow up on outstanding payments. This role requires both technical accounting skills and strong communication abilities to maintain positive client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily bookkeeping duties, including transaction recording, ledger maintenance, and account reconciliation.
Generate and issue customer invoices accurately and on time using QuickBooks (Online or Desktop).
Manage accounts receivable by tracking outstanding invoices and ensuring timely collection.
Conduct outbound collection calls in a professional and courteous manner to remind clients of overdue payments.
Prepare and maintain financial reports and summaries for management review.
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, both digital and physical.
Address client billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies quickly.
Perform additional general accounting tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in bookkeeping, invoicing, and collections.
Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online or Desktop) is required.
Comfortable with making professional collection calls and handling voice-based tasks.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good communication skills (both verbal and written).
Ability to work independently during graveyard shifts and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets.
Basic understanding of GAAP principles.
Previous customer service or client-facing experience is a plus.
