Role Overview
The Remote Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of multiple, concurrent projects across clinical communications, RTLS, Wi-Fi infrastructure, and mobile duress systems. You will liaise between vendors, internal teams, reseller partners, and end-user clients (primarily in healthcare, aged care, and enterprise sectors) to ensure successful project outcomes. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong delivery focus, excellent communication skills, and experience in navigating complex stakeholder environments remotely.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Execution
• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
• Manage all phases of project delivery including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
2. Stakeholder Engagement
• Serve as the main point of contact for all project stakeholders (internal, vendor, and client-side).
• Facilitate project kick-offs, regular status meetings, and issue-resolution workshops.
• Provide clear communication, updates, and reporting to all relevant parties.
3. Technical Oversight (Non-Hands-On)
• Oversee technical project streams including:
• Clinical communication system deployments (e.g. Spok, Spectralink, Infrafon).
• RTLS infrastructure and integration (e.g. Quuppa).
• Mobile duress solutions and integrations.
• Wi-Fi surveys, heatmapping, and design (using Ekahau or equivalent).
• Coordinate with pre-sales engineers, solution architects, and support teams to ensure technical alignment.
4. Vendor & Partner Coordination
• Work closely with OEM vendors, reseller partners, and service delivery providers to ensure SLAs and project milestones are met.
• Track vendor deliverables, hardware/software fulfilment, and post-deployment support timelines.
5. Risk, Compliance & Quality Assurance
• Proactively identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Ensure all projects adhere to clinical compliance standards (e.g. NSW Health PPP Policy) and internal quality assurance guidelines.
• Maintain documentation and evidence for audit and post-project review purposes.
6. Remote Collaboration & Tools Management
• Use digital project management tools (e.g. Zoho Projects, Asana, MS Project, Jira) to manage tasks, dependencies, and reporting.
• Enable visibility for all stakeholders through dashboards, Gantt charts, and automated notifications.
Required Skills & Experience
Professional Qualifications & Experience
• 5+ years of project management experience in ICT, healthcare technology, or wireless network deployment.
• Experience in working with or managing distributed teams, vendors, and complex IT environments remotely.
• Familiarity with clinical communication platforms, RTLS, Wi-Fi design tools (e.g. Ekahau), and mobility services.
Technical Competence (Non-Engineer)
• Strong understanding of Wi-Fi infrastructure, mobile device management, and integration workflows in healthcare settings.
• Able to interpret technical documentation and translate requirements for delivery teams and stakeholders.
Project Management Expertise
• Strong knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Formal certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile PM) highly regarded
• Experience managing project budgets, resource allocation, and vendor contracts.
Communication & Leadership
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills for managing conflict, expectation alignment, and client satisfaction.
• Ability to lead project teams without direct authority.
