We’re looking for a spreadsheet wizard to help us build, maintain, organize, automate, improve and supercharge the data systems that power daily decisions.

Role Summary
You’ll work closely with the founder to organize and manage critical data workflows — from inventory and sales dashboards to forecasting and performance reporting. You’ll improve existing Excel and database systems, create automation-driven tools, and ensure our data stays clean, actionable, and decision-ready.
You’ll help clean, organize, and analyze data from multiple business units and build spreadsheet tools or dashboards that support real-time decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
• Design and maintain Excel-based dashboards, templates, reporting and forecasting tools
• Build scenario models to support inventory planning, revenue forecasting, and purchasing
• Collaborate with the founder to analyze trends and build data-driven playbooks
• Clean, normalize, and manage data from multiple sources (CSV, PDFs, reports, etc.)
• Support inventory forecasting, sales trend analysis, and scenario planning
• Create data models to help the business owner make faster and smarter decisions
• Ensure version control, error-proofing, and performance optimization of all files
• Design powerful spreadsheets with dynamic formulas, pivot tables, and conditional logic
• Maintain databases for inventory, finance, or performance metrics
• Collaborate on automation and data-cleaning workflows
• Build reporting templates that can scale
• Work with automation tools (Zapier, Make, etc.) to streamline manual inputs

Ideal Candidate Traits
• Expert-level Excel skills and sharp analytical thinking
• Attention to detail is your superpower — your sheets are always clean and clear
• Familiar with connecting spreadsheets to other tools or databases
• Loves building dashboards, templates, and calculators
• Mastery of Excel, especially advanced functions (INDEX/MATCH, QUERY, ARRAYFORMULA, pivot tables, etc.)
• Analytical and detail-obsessed — errors in formulas bug you
• Strong logical thinker and process-oriented
• Comfortable handling large datasets and spotting trends
• Great written communication skills — you can explain what your formulas do
• Proactive and self-directed — you suggest improvements before we ask
• Bonus: Familiar with relational databases, Google Sheets, Airtable, or introductory SQL

Tools You Should Be Familiar With
• Microsoft Excel (Power Query, pivot tables, INDEX/MATCH, VBA is a bonus)
• Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, Teams, etc.)
• Google Sheets (Apps Script, ARRAYFORMULA, QUERY, and automation tools)
• Zapier or Make (for light automation and integrations)
• Bonus: Airtable, Notion, or BI tools (e.g., Looker Studio)

Requirements
• Excellent English communication skills
• Minimum 3 years experience in a data-heavy, Excel-centric role
• Strong portfolio of past work (dashboards, reports, automations, models, or spreadsheet tools)
• Comfortable working independently and in collaboration with a founder
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required with equivalent experience

Working Hours & Setup
• Part-time to full-time depending on fit
• Must be able to join a weekly sync call (ET timezone)
