The Role
We’re hiring a Strategic Bookkeeper to take full ownership of our books and financial systems using Zoho Books. But this isn’t just about data entry or monthly reconciliations—we’re looking for a strategic partner who can think critically, plan financially, and grow with us long-term into a key operations role.

Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage all financial records and transactions in Zoho Books
- Handle AP/AR, invoicing, reconciliations, and monthly closeouts
- Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and project-based planning
- Build and improve systems for reporting, cost tracking, and cash flow analysis
- Conduct monthly/quarterly reporting with actionable insights
- Perform quality control checks before delivering financial reports
- Create processes and SOPs to increase clarity, efficiency, and accountability
- Participate in team operations and hold teammates accountable to financial boundaries and standards
- Think through downstream effects before implementing solutions
What We're Looking For
- Zoho Books Proficiency: You’re fluent in it—no training needed
- 3+ Years Bookkeeping Experience: Preferably in startups or fast-paced businesses
- Strong skills in budget creation, forecasting, financial planning, and analysis
- A strategic thinker who sees patterns, not just spreadsheets
- Excellent with detail, accuracy, and follow-through
- Ability to lead from within, hold others accountable, and challenge assumptions
- Communicates clearly and can explain financials to non-finance folks
- Comfortable creating systems from scratch and improving broken ones
