We're looking for our next Digital Strategist, a Google Ads and Meta Ads STAR who can own ad accounts strategically, not just execute tasks.
Matriarch Digital is a Sydney-based paid ads agency working with eCommerce brands and service-based businesses. We run a team built on real results, and we need someone who can match that bar.
About the role
This is a full-time position (8 hours a day) where you'll manage a portfolio of client accounts across Google Ads and Meta Ads. We're not after a media buyer who waits for instructions. We want someone who owns the strategy, flags issues before they become problems, and can hold internal team conversations about performance with confidence.
What you'll be doing:
- Google Ads campaign build and management, including Search, Shopping and PMax
- Keyword monitoring, search term analysis and negative keyword management on a regular cadence
- Google Ads error and disapproval management, catching issues before they impact spend
- Meta Ads campaign and ad set build, including Advantage+ and standard prospecting/retargeting structures
- Verifying all live campaigns against approved briefs, both pre-launch and post-launch, so nothing goes live on the wrong URL, wrong creative or wrong settings
- Weekly account performance reporting for your client roster
- Daily account optimisation recommendations, backed by data, not guesswork
- Owning client-facing gate conversations at key account checkpoints, explaining what's working, what's not, and what's next
- Working within our Ad Quality Gate and creative sprint cadence alongside our Creative Strategists
What we're looking for:
- Prior agency experience is essential. You know what it means to manage multiple client accounts under time pressure and shifting priorities
- Strong, hands-on experience with both Google Ads and Meta Ads management, not just one platform
- Sharp attention to detail. You catch the small errors before they become client-facing i
- Comfortable owning a conversation about account performance, not just reporting numbers
- Fluent or native English speaker, both written and spoken
