**DESCRIPTION:
Lionsgate Financial Group is seeking a Junior mortgage underwriter manager. Remote position only.
Summary: As a Junior Mortgage Underwriter/Loan Officer, your job is to ensure that you are reviewing a minimum of 10 files per day. You will directly report to your assigned senior underwriter You must be a problem solver and well-versed in subprime mortgages. This is a high-level efficiency position. Your daily duties consist of underwriting files applications and making submissions to various lenders. More Details Below
*DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*
Take charge of the Underwriting Department. Review, and process residential mortgage applications in a timely and effective manner. You will utilize your detailed knowledge of sub-prime residential mortgage files, regulatory compliance, and sound decision-making skills to adjudicate mortgage applications based on established guidelines.
* THE PROCESS FLOW:*
Our Review department will issue an LOI to the prospective borrowers and request documents. Once the LOI is signed, the file is shifted to your department. Your task is to collect and review all missing documents, underwrite the file for guideline approval, and submit the file to senior underwriter for deal structure. Once approved by the lender and signed by the borrower, the file will be sent to our funding department for closing.
By following our in-house structured underwriting model, along with our easy-to-use custom system, you will possess a clear understanding of your role and requirement to satisfy all conditions.
*GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:*
* Successfully complete our in-house training program through our in-house private University.
* Understanding your role requirement and target achievement milestones.
* Develop a full understanding of lender requirements, programs, and policies using our lender guidelines system.
* Handle correspondence and telephone inquiries from clients and lenders (as required).
* Maintain composure and professionalism while managing high work volumes to meet short timelines with a high level of quality and efficiency.
* Only candidates with high Mortgage Underwriting experience will be considered.
* Experience in subprime (B and C) lending and brokering.
* Ability to establish and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
* In-Depth knowledge of principles of credit analysis and risk management.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Working knowledge of PC software in a Windows environment.
* Ability to handle pressure caused by high volumes and tight turnaround deadlines.
* A very strong customer focus is required with an ability to ensure that customer satisfaction is the highest priority.
* Leadership quality in handling your subordinate staff.
