JOB OVERVIEW

Accountant

Qualities needed:
Very proficient with P&L review: We receive P&L’s from numerous different companies that we manage that have apartment buildings and they all have to be reviewed monthly, looking for any out of the ordinary items and then going into that companies software and pulling the invoices for us to review. You will have view and print only access to these systems so that you can find and pull the needed invoices. You will be shown what are acceptable charges and what are not, as you take over the reviewing portion of the process as well. There are a total of 6 different software companies that we access and pull invoices from. You will be trained how to access and navigate these systems. Maybe you can teach us a trick or 2?
You will also be making notes and highlighting the things that you discover on the excel version of these P&L Statements, showing us what you have found and what you are investigating further.
We use Asana to communicate all of this information, so uploading the information, such as the marked up Excell sheet, the invoices that you pull from the company’s software, and any other information that you want to communicate to us, will all be done through Asana.
We also build our own P&L Statements for a few of the companies, so you would be taking the provided data and putting it in to create the monthly P&L in our QuickBooks online.
Reconciling bank statements and categorizing transactions for these same companies will be a strong part of this position’s responsibilities as well.
Reconciling Credit Card Statements
There will be other admin projects that come up from time to time, based on your skills and ability to take charge.
This is a full-time position, and we prefer to have you working during our business hours, 8-5 Pacific Standard Time.
Skills and platforms you must be familiar with:
Must be Teachable of our systems and workflows.
Google Sheets – Must be intermediate or above.
Must be an Excel Sheet expert

Proficient in everything Google
Quick Books Online – This is different from the desk top version. Must be intermediate, but preferably above that.
