Are you a dog lover with a passion for YouTube channel growth and optimization? Do you dream of creating videos that inform, inspire, and engage? If so, keep reading!
We’re in the midst of an exciting project to bring over 40 audio-only podcasts to life on YouTube, turning them into visually engaging and optimized video content. This project is the first step toward even more ambitious plans for our channel. We have several other channels that will provide broader topics for dog lovers everywhere, too.
We’re looking for an *experienced* YouTube Optimization Specialist who LOVES dogs and has the technical expertise to help us make our channels thrive. This specific project will run until mid-December 2024, but for the right person, it could lead to a long-term partnership and broader responsibility.
--> What You’ll Do:
- Using TubeBuddy or similar, conduct SEO research to craft compelling, keyword-rich titles for long-form interview videos.
- Design irresistible thumbnails using tools like Canva or Photoshop and test them through A/B/C comparisons.
- Write engaging show notes and detailed video chapters for easy navigation.
- Optimize YouTube uploads to ensure maximum visibility and engagement.
- Monitor and analyze channel performance using tools like YouTube Studio and Google Analytics.
- Prepare detailed performance reports and offer actionable insights for our team.
- Collaborate with editors and show hosts to refine strategies and maximize impact.
- We work in a Microsoft environment, so your communication tools will include Teams, Planner, Lists, and others. (You will be provided with a licensed Microsoft Office subscription.)
We love AI and so using AI tools like ChatGPT, Jasper, or Descript for transcript analysis and first drafts is not only encouraged—it’s expected!

1. Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience with YouTube channel growth and SEO.
- Proven ability to grow YouTube audiences and engagement, with metrics to back it up.
2. Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in YouTube Studio, TubeBuddy, VidIQ, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with keyword research and analytics platforms like Google Trends.
- Experience with design software such as Canva or Photoshop for thumbnail creation.
3. Language Skills:
- Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to write clear, concise, and engaging show notes and chapters.
4. Creative Skills:
- An eye for design and the ability to create thumbnails that drive clicks.
- Talent for crafting SEO-friendly, compelling titles that capture attention.
5. Analytical Skills:
- Ability to analyze channel performance and generate actionable reports.
- Highly trainable and willing to learn new things -- and teach us what you know!
6. Time Management:
- Proven ability to meet deadlines, with the availability to complete this project by mid-December 2024.
