Editing tasks will include real estate walk-through videos, vertical real estate reels, talking head-reels, etc. The ideal editor will have the ability to create engaging videos with smooth speed ramps, as seen in the latest trending videos, while also able to stick to a fundamental approach. We do not like to get too crazy with transitions and trending effects, but do like smooth speed ramps.
In addition to real estate videos, there will be some miscellaneous projects that come up. Your workload is expected to be on the lighter side to start out. Hours might feel more like part time, especially in the US winter months. The workload should increase over time but you will not be overworked. You can expect anywhere between 10-40 hours per week.
Here are some examples of the style you will be expected to replicate:
Required skills: Advanced color grading and ability to match our style. Understanding of audio, including: noise reduction, EQ, compression, etc. Storytelling and ability to piece together content that engages the audience.
Required computer specs: You will need a computer that can handle 4K 10-bit files. The majority of the work is shot on Canon and in 4K-light HDR PQ. This codec may be a challenge for some computer setups. If you are selected, you will be given access to our assets such as a music library, effects, presets, stock footage library, and many other editing assets that you are free to use for personal projects as well.
Preferred editing software: Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom.
Real estate photo editing: While a video editor is needed primarily, candidates who can also edit HDR or flambient real estate photos will be preferred, though it is not a requirement. We have multiple photo editors already, but sometimes it's helpful knowing someone else can help with photo if needed.
Floor Plans: This is last on the list, but candidates who can help with editing or creating floor plans may have an advantage as well. If this is something you're interested in learning/getting involved in, that is a plus but also not a requirement.
Please include links/samples of your work, as well as your computer specs.
Thank you!
