JOB OVERVIEW

Are you someone who enjoys creating and following procedures, finding and researching software issues and working in a rewarding team environment? If so, then we would love to talk to you! We're seeking an experienced QA Engineer to join our team.

About the Role

On a daily basis, you will work with the Development team, UI/UX team, Technical Writing team, Support team, and other company members to help us produce high-quality web and mobile products to keep our customers productive, successful, and happy. The team is primarily conducting manual testing, using a more ad hoc testing approach as opposed to a structured, fully documented one. We are working on growing our library of automated tests at the UI level, with plans to expand into the API level in the not-too-distant future.

Qualifications

1. Have at least 2 years of black box manual testing experience with a web product and knowledge of industry standards for web products.
2. Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes, as well as the software development lifecycle.
3. Excellent communication skills to report defects effectively and to alert the team to perceived risks.
4. Ability to successfully estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate various testing activities, sometimes for multiple projects at once.
5. Curious nature and not afraid to ask questions.
6. Adaptable and capable of shifting gears quickly while working on interesting new features and learning new skills.
7. Embrace a family culture and team environment by being willing to collaborate with, learn from, and share your knowledge with the team.
8. Have a good understanding of where software might fail at various levels of the technology stack and be able to research a potential issue thoroughly to assess the risk and determine the scope.

Bonus Skills

1. Automation in Testing experience, preferably with Katalon Studio and/or Groovy/JavaScript or similar tool.
2. Mobile app testing experience with Android and iOS.
3. Quality engineering or management experience to help guide the team and facilitate continuous improvement.
4. SQL experience.
5. API testing experience.
