I am currently a University student in my last year majoring in Chemistry. I am experienced in working with teams and handling them due to my position in my program's student society serving as the head of the creative committee from 2023 up until December 2024 when I had to pass on the torch to the freshies. during my time as a Head of the Creative Committee, I was in charge of managing the committee members taking job orders mainly to create layouts and designs for our organization's
Though my job was mainly to designate the tasks for my members I also partake in the creation aspect as well mainly for reasons that I would want to improve my skills in designing and making layouts or promotional materials. Am I passionate about it? not really I just see it as an essential skill for me to not be too broke.
Being a Chemistry Major has its perks, the urge to seek solutions to certain problems using the scientific method has been drilled into our sense of self and the urge to keep on learning. Chemistry being the Central Science we are encouraged to embrace the unknown and that seemingly unrelated things are related at the molecular level.
Though I would gravitate toward a career that involves Chemistry, doesn't mean I shouldn't try out other career paths, the decision to do long-term or short-term depends on a few factors. regardless of whether it is chemistry-related or not.
